Research has its purposes for different fields, and we are here to discuss its benefits when it comes to economics, and business.  Research pertains to the ever expanding questions we have in our society, and how we can solve them. We use statistical methods, or making theories on how we can make the society better. Quantitative research uses statistical methods, and will always have close-ended question; it will always have an answer that will not open to any other questions. While qualitative research uses a more theoretical approach, and uses documents that are verbal such as interviews or immersion in a culturally diverse society.
